SABIC is the world's fourth-largest chemical company by revenue, and since Saudi Aramco acquired a 70% controlling stake in 2020 the company's digital and AI transformation investment has accelerated across its 60+ manufacturing plants in more than 40 countries. Process-optimisation AI, predictive maintenance, and R&D acceleration are the three primary deployment vectors — and Riyadh-based data scientists work on production data sets where model errors carry direct safety and revenue consequences. CEO Faisal Al-Faqeer, who took over in April 2026, has signalled a deepening of the data-driven capital allocation strategy begun by his predecessor.
